Professional Experience

Non-Profit Community

  • I have over 20 years of experience in non-profit program development and have worked hard to support a number of amazing community organizations including Habitat for Humanity and the March of Dimes.

  • I’ve also served organizations that have been focused on economic development, job training and education (Economic Development Corporations and Community Action Agencies).

Public Service

  •  I served the State of Washington for five legislative sessions as a non-partisan policy research analyst for the State House of Representative’s Office of Program Research.

  • I supported all members of the House of Representative and in this role I researched, wrote and analyzed legislation for our elected leaders. Critical thinking, with much thought towards consequences, and particularly “unintended consequences”, was a huge part of this job. Legislative, critical thinking and negotiation skills learned during my time at the House will be of use to our community.

  • In 2009 I accepted an Ian Axford Public Policy Fellowship in New Zealand where I researched and reported upon ways to help Kiwi's get "sorted" financially!

  • I was a Nationally Registered EMT for 4 years which explains my huge support of our first responder community!

Today

  • I am a small-business owner.

  • I am a real estate broker specializing in residential transactions, particularly focused on helping folks find housing that meets their budgets and lifestyles. From the very start of my business, following each transaction, I donate $500 to the charity of my client’s choice (baring any unusual circumstances…sometimes my clients need the help themselves). After all of my work asking for money in the non-profit sector, I know how tough it is for non-profit organizations to raise the money they need to operate, particularly given how many great and worthy causes there are in our community.
