Robyn Denson is the mother of two teenagers, both born and raised here in District 7. She is a small business owner and host of HarborChat on KGHP-FM. Robyn worked in the non-profit world for about 20 years, helping low-income community members work towards self-sufficiency. She also served as the non-partisan Housing Analyst for the Washington State House of Representatives for 5 legislative sessions.

Robyn is proud to be a current Gig Harbor City Council member, where she has earned a reputation for listening, problem solving and getting things done. Prior to serving on City Council, Robyn served four terms on the Gig Harbor Parks Commission, including several years as Chair.

When she can't be in the mountains backpacking, Robyn's passion is community service. She is grateful for what she's been able to accomplish together with so many other dedicated community leaders. Robyn currently serves as the President of Communities in Schools of Peninsula and on the Board of the Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance. She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Committee and was voted "Citizen of the Year" for 2022. Robyn is also a proud member of Midday Rotary. One of her favorite volunteer activities is “early morning flower basket watering” for the Waterfront Alliance.

Robyn is active on a number of community committees including the Gig Harbor Veterans Day Celebration committee, the Gig Harbor Lighted Car Parade, and others.

Robyn loves the great outdoors, is an avid environmentalist and has a passion for conserving land for generations to enjoy far into the future. She was a founding board member of Harbor Wildwatch, is a past member of the Pierce County Conservation Futures Advisory Board and she recently founded the Gig Harbor Land Conservation Fund. She’s been working really hard with fellow Gig Harbor Councilmembers and community members to conserve over 40 acres in downtown Gig Harbor. This property is an important archeological site for the Puyallup Tribe and it also contains extremely critical salmon habitat and stream-side forests.

Robyn is a proven leader, an incredibly hard worker, and has boundless enthusiasm. She's the right person to provide strong representation to all residents of District 7!

"The kids and I are so grateful to be living in this beautiful area of Pierce County. I can't wait to get started working with everyone to achieve great things for the people, lands and waters of Pierce County." - Robyn
