As a Gig Harbor parent, businesswoman, four-time Parks Commissioner, and active community volunteer, I understand that protecting the unique character of Gig Harbor—while continuing to promote economic vitality— is more important now than ever. I’m committed to working with civility and sensibility to help our City retain its distinctive small-town feel as we evolve and grow responsibly in well-planned ways that retain the essence of the Gig Harbor we love.

Preserving our Historic Maritime Character & Protecting our Natural Beauty - I will continue to be a strong voice for historic preservation, parks, views, open space and promoting a successful, authentic working-waterfront.

  • Thoughtful Responsible Development that preserves "who we are" as a community and the reasons we love to live here. We must plan for appropriate infrastructure and find a solution to our traffic problems.

  • Supporting Strong Neighborhoods that encourage walk-ability and the amenities that serve residents. I support "The Village" in Gig Harbor North and I am so excited about the new Sports Complex and our future elementary schools.

  •  Finding Solutions to Current Issues: Addressing downtown parking, installing planned docks in Ancich Park for our commercial fishing fleet and our kayakers/stand up paddle-boarders and finding a permanent home for our Gig Harbor Senior Center.

  •  Looking Long Term - As a mother of two school-aged children, a board member of Communities in Schools and a member of the PSD Trades Council, I support our schools and understand how our district is working to meet the needs of our students.
